Belmont's Tower
About the game
On your journey through a dead forest, your wagon wheel cracks against a sharp rock on the side of the road. Stranded, you start walking forward, searching for any help that might be near by. Eventually, you find yourself in front of a graveyard with a large tower in the distance. Perhaps someone further might be able to assist you? The only way to find out is to enter the graveyard and see if there's anyone around...
Authors Note
Originally, I had started working on this game as a way to get more familiar with Unity. Legend of Zelda has always been one of my favorite games, and it seemed like a great way to figure out how to build a game since I was already deeply familiar with what a Zelda game is. Eventually, piece by piece, I had something that almost looked like a Zelda game! After a while I set this project down and moved onto other games, but the "Finish Your Game" jam seemed like a great opportunity to pull in some of the systems I have built in Unity for other games to polish this one out.
It's still a work in progress, but rather than let this sit on my hard drive never seeing the light of day, I wanted to get this up on my itch page, even if it's still using the original Zelda placeholder sprites! I hope you enjoy my take on a simple Zelda-like.
